Build it in order
Step-by-step instructions
Read the entire plan before making the first cut or hole. The check under each step tells you when it is ready to move forward.

Define the load
List the heaviest intended items and exclude people, animals, water barrels and machinery.

Inspect and repair
Reject weak pallets; remove nails and replace split boards.

Add caster blocks
Fit solid new-wood blocks inside each corner beneath pallet stringers.

Through-bolt casters
Mark plates, drill through blocks and use bolts with large washers and lock nuts.

Add a smooth deck
If carrying small pots, fasten a removable exterior sheet over wide gaps.

Test and label
Load gradually, roll slowly, lock all wheels and label the maximum load and NO RIDERS.
Use and maintenance
Keep it useful
- Pull rather than push when visibility is limited.
- Store with all casters locked.
- Keep bearings clean and dry.
Safety boundaries
Know when to stop
- Never carry people, animals or full water containers.
- Do not use on slopes, soil or gravel.
- Caster mounting is structural; get help if the pallet cannot be reinforced correctly.
