Methodology and storage reality
Total reserve equals daily use multiplied by animals when the daily amount is per animal, then multiplied by reserve days. Containers are always rounded up because a fraction of a bag or bale still requires the next unit.
Rotate feed through normal use. Keep it raised, labeled and protected from Florida humidity, roof leaks, pests and wind-driven rain. Maintaining the normal diet during disruption is generally safer than buying unfamiliar feed at the last minute.
